Natural Intelligence Farming

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Natural Intelligence Farming is the result of two decades of pioneering work by Western Australian farmers Ian and Dianne Haggerty which revolutionises farming through ‘natural intelligence’  methods to create regenerative agricultural ecosystems that produce optimal food and fibre products.

Dianne and Ian Haggerty own and manage 13,000 hectares of cropping and grazing farm land in the Wyalkatchem and Mollerin areas of Western Australia. Since 1994, the Haggerty’s have developed their system of Natural Intelligence Farming and have become world renowned as two of agriculture’s most open-minded thinkers. They have demonstrated success by combining natural processes with the latest in technology to produce the highest quality grains, meat and wool, while regenerating the landscape’s natural biological functions and water cycles

The Haggerty’s natural intelligence farming methods are underpinned by their shared deep commitment to the regeneration of the fertility of the marginal soils of their area.  This is achieved through use of biological fertilisers, zero tillage and the consequent growth of healthy cereal plants to deliver high tonnages of premium grain per hectare. The healthy ground cover of the cropping and pasture also provides the key to maintaining high levels of soil moisture and ensuring weed control.

Over the years, Ian and Dianne have developed their own Merino stud and a working sheep flock from local and South Australian bloodlines. This indigenous flock has been bred to be totally acclimatised to the land farmed by the Haggerty’s.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”full-width-section”][vc_column][rd_line type=”rd_line_bold” color=”#91ba39″ line_pos=”center”][vc_empty_space][vc_custom_heading text=”Links to Media and Articles” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:center|color:%23757575″ google_fonts=”font_family:Open%20Sans%3A300%2C300italic%2Cregular%2Citalic%2C600%2C600italic%2C700%2C700italic%2C800%2C800italic|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]
